Thank you so much for this site.I grew up around fire stations and have wonderful memories of the men who made a difference in my life, like Sam Phillips, Cub Courtny, Buddy Hough, Stick Horse, Ray Thomas and my daddy, Billy Kilgore, playing ''no stickem go get em'' in the yard of no. 6. I am so proud of my daddy, as he loved his men and the fire department. Thank you so much! |

This is a great website! I feel like I was raised at Station 6 where my dad (Ray Thomas) worked in the 1960's. It is great to see pictures of all the old-timers; I miss them and my daddy too. I want to thank the guys that painted the mural at the new central station. They did a great job and I am so thankful that the next generation will have it as mine did. It would have been a shame to lose a wonderful tribute like that. And thank you to Bill Kilgore for having the first one painted. |

Nice work, John! Thanks for doing all the work here. Although I was on the "other side" I met a lot of great guys in the OFD and have some great memories from working/playing with them. Oh boy could I tell those Kitchen girls some fun stories about Clyde. And looking through the photos has been fun and brought back many good memories. |

Thank you for your great work on this awesome website and for your dedication to the OFD. It was like taking a trip down memory lane since I grew up a fireman's (Clyde Kitchens) daughter and have known many of the people featured in this site. You are doing a wonderful job! You firefighters have my deepest respect. |
