Oud Essential Oil: Why It’s So Rare and Highly Valued

I was exploring different fragrance ingredients for my collection when an unexpected late-night testing session made me realize how many people are curious about oud essential oil and what makes it so special. Oud essential oil is extracted from the resin of agarwood trees and is known for its deep, woody, smoky, and slightly sweet aroma that evolves slowly on the skin. Unlike common essential oils, oud is extremely rare because the resin forms only under specific natural conditions, which is why it is considered one of the most expensive oils in the world. A high-quality oud oil feels rich, smooth, and long-lasting, often staying noticeable for many hours with just a small application. I’m trying to find oud oil that feels authentic and refined rather than synthetic or harsh. Has anyone here experienced a truly premium oud essential oil that delivers deep aroma and lasting performance?
