Wayne County deserves to be proud of this wonderful museum and repository of local history. I have found Bro. Harlan Bogle and Sue Rogers to be very knowledgeable and helpful every time we have visited. I only regret I live too far away to volunteer to help there too.

Thanks so much for the tour of the museum and all the help you all gave me in the library during my visit 21st May 2009. I am very pleased and surprised at the dedication of Brother Ogle, Sue Rogers and the ladies in the genealogical library for all the work they do to keep local memories alive and also in helping visitors doing their genealogical research. One can only hope more communities had fine and impressive facilities such as yours to preserve their historical heritage. Even though my Good(d)ing forebearers left Wayne county and the Big Sinking area long ago the before the 1820s, I appreciate the support your museum gives to individuals like myself who wish to research the memory of their pioneering days in Kentucky.
Best wishes, Robert Goodding

I am a decendant of Benjamin Adkins, builder of the Adkins-Hurt Mill. I am also an artist and would like to possibly paint the mill. I would like to visit there this spring with the owner's permission. I have been unable to find existing photo's of the mill and do not have the address to contact the owner. Any help will be appreciated. See www.penningtonpoint.com. and contact me at kenpenningtonart@gmail.com.
