Hello cousin! I too hail from Samuel Love & Dorcas Bell. My great-grandmother was Sarah Ann Love, daughter of James R. (Ingram) Love and Martha C. Banner. James was the son of Dillard Love and Delilah Ingram, Dillard the son of Robert and Mary Ann Dillard Love, Robert the son of Samuel and Dorcas Bell Love...who I believe may have been the son of Robert Love ;-) |

I have been researching a brick wall for about 2 years. Time, money, and health keep me from searching except on the net. My brick wall was Margaret Ann Keith, my 3rd great grandmother. Margaret was married to James Howle 21 Nov. 1824. She was born abt. 1800. I have searched genforum and several other sites to no avail. Your site is the first possible lead I found. Even if it turns out not to be my Margaret I am thankful for generous peope who put their info out there to help others. Thank you! |

I noticed that your website mentioned Coleman's in Chipley Florida. My family is from Chipley and I am looking for the parents of my great great grand father, William Edwin Colman (no e). I am wondering if you have come across that spelling in your search. William married Emma Malinda Hewitt. I would appreciate any assistance you might be able to offer. |

Thanks for adding info to what I have recently found on my "elusive James Greene" on my family tree! My great-great-great-great grandfather James was born 9/10/1774 and died 1/29/1831 in Hannibal, IL which is now part of MO! The only issue for me is that the James Greene on the Mormon site was married to Rody Warren, not Mary Kronkhyte. I can find no mention anywhere about Rody Warren and obviously if her James is my James, either she died (naturally or not), disappeared, or divorced James. But otherwise, our James is the son of Rufus Greene, Jr and Margaret Buckhout. I knew James was supposed to be the cousin of Washington's general, Nathanael Greene. I also found that Rufus, Jr was the one who led the attack on the Gaspee boat incident. So the lineage I have for James, matches yours once my side works back to the James Greene who was married to Elizabeth Anthony. The only problem I have now is that after being told all my life that we were predominantly Scots, as well as Irish (one great-great Grandmother), English and some French, and the rest Dutch, I have the other countries covered, but THERE IS NO SCOT! We all grew up on the stories of Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie (in fact John Uriah Greene's 7th child was named Charles Edward Stuart Green). Supposedly a royal Scot (never named, of course) escaped by boat across the sea. When they landed, they noticed the boat was painted green and so took that for their new name. Does anyone know of a link between the Green's of Green's Norton England, or the de Boketon's and the Scots? I have been combing documents on the Web but have not found a link yet. And the people who once knew who this person was on the family tree are all long dead.. Again, thank you for having your information on this site. It was a great help to see where we share the Greene's, and then where my side branches off to a brother or cousin! |

Thank you so much for sharing your research. Am finding it difficult to go through the gazillion Greene's to add to our family tree. We are descended from Shadrach, Simeon, Shadrach, Elizabeth Greene. |

On a whim I typed in my grandfather's name (George Monroe Youmans) into Google Search which led me to your website and was stunned to see his name and lineage going back to 1792. The information appears to be accurate and I am amazed to see all the details, especially the names of spouses and children. Wonderful job putting this together and I want to thank you - I'm sharing this with my daughter so she can have it to pass on to her children. What a wonderful blessing!!! Thanks, Donna |
