PEOPLE AND HISTORY - TRAILS OF DEMOCRACY


(or Paths to Democracy?)




The Festival of Features and Documentaries would present radio works about changes during the last decade 20th centuary in former eastern block countries. Among others the most significant moments, mental evolution, new social and economic problems and ordinary people (not from the first pages of newspeper) who face the new reality.






Who can take part in the festival?


All individual feature makers or international teams of radio journalists. Generally we want to compare experience in building democracy and change a point of the view on problems which seem different for foreigners.


Preselection before presentation would be useful to avoid useless repetitions and to choice the most interesting works.

Place of the Festival:


LUBLIN ? Eastern part of Poland. Grodzka Gate - former part of old city walls created by NN Theatre as a symbol of mutual influence eastern a western culture.

An istallation "Gate of Memory" will be "build" from the fragments of features.
