in the meantime, a bad dream from the states:




A bunch of public radio executive producer/editor types stand outside an abandoned goldmine chewing gum, mightily.




nearby, there's a barbershop pole and a huge gum machine, twenty five cents a pop.




a radio art type, to be named later, comes up to them and says:


I WANT TO GO IN THE GOLDMINE.




They reply, "Here's a quarter, kid, go get some gum".




So the radio art type repeats: BUT I WANT TO GO IN THE GOLDMINE!




The EP's, wearing "NPR" t-shirts and bathing suits, thwack their gum a bit more, look around at each other with a chuckle or two and say:




"oh you can't do that, son, it's too dangerous in there."




They blow a few bubbles, and rub each other's shoulders, vigorously. Time for a haircut?
