October in Scotland?

Hello all. My wife and I always travel during our anniversary, October 15. I am thinking of traveling to Iceland (2 days) and Scotland (7 days or so) next year. Is mid-October when things start shutting down? Should we move it up a month to September?

Thanks.

Re: October in Scotland?

Hi Craig,

Lovely to hear from you. Iceland sounds fantastic, will you brave the Ice Hotel??

Unfortunately most Castles are closed from 1st October for the winter period, so we would recommend coming a month earlier if you are able to. If there are any specific attractions you would like to see, please email me at keira@timberbushtours.com and I can check to see their opening times for 2012.

Best wishes,

The Timberbush Team
