As a college student in the early 80s, I discovered Dee Dee Sharp through her hit, Breaking & Entering. I put that song on a mix tape back then, and every now and again, I pull out the tape and am reminded of how wonderful her voice was. I bought the LP that Breaking & Entering was on way back then, but I haven't had a record player for years, so all I have is that mix tape. I wasn't aware that Dee Dee had a career dating back to the 1960s. I just knew that one LP. I was listening to Breaking & Entering the other day and it made me think of looking up Dee Dee online, and thanks to youtube and some other sites, I learned all about her career and got to hear clips of her amazing voice. I can't believe how powerful and soulful she still sounds. I was so happy to hear that Dee Dee is from Philadelphia, my hometown, although I have lived in NY since 1985. What amazes me is how one song I loved so long ago could stick with me for nearly three decades and still bring joy to my life several times a year. What a testament to Dee Dee Sharp's incredible voice. It just goes to show you that good talent lives on. Thanks, Dee Dee, for having this site so that I could let you know that with just one song, you have given me nearly 30 years of listening pleasure. Mark from NY
