The tourist part of town will be mostly closed. To find any life you have to go to the Spanish bars in the old town and night clubs at the North end of the area. If the weather is good then a few bars will be open on the front.
Where are you staying and how many of you is there?
Hi Steve.... the Magnolia is not directly on the seafront but just off the main Jaime One prom. Its got a good reputation and is one of the few hotels open throughout the Winter. There is the odd bar open on the prom and also on Calle Major. Check these roads out on Google Maps.
The Old town at the South end of the prom will be fully open. There is one British bar there called Rosies amongst many Spanish bars. At the North end of the prom there is the tourist area which will mostly closed with the odd Spanish bar open here and there and also a British bar called the Barrels.
The Lumine resort is part of Port Aventura. Great courses if a little new but if the sun is shining the golf will be excellent. Not sure what you want to do past 10pm at night?
As you were golfing I thought you might be in for early nights.... silly me
The nearest casino is in Tarragona and passport required. You will need 2 taxi's - 15 to 20 euros per taxi. Website for casino here:- http://www.casino-tarragona.com/
So casino for one night... on the other night local entertainment in Salou on Friday or Saturday will be limited to Spanish discos, La Cage and Delirium or Led Zepps rock bar (my preference - live rock music and good atmosphere). Plenty of late Spanish bars in the old town but no music. Maybe worth asking at hotel reception for their suggestions. There is a late local bar near your hotel for evening drinks called Buccanero.
