Where were you planning on flying from? There are no flights from Reus till March. Ryanair only does Barcelona- Edinburgh or Gerona- Prestwick in winter.
Edinburgh is very good,about 80 Km from Glasgow! Hire a car or take a bus or train.Type in Travelodge on your search as they are the cheapest places to stay and they are very comfortable! They have hotels in Scotland.
An hour is nothing on the train or bus and there is so much more to see in Edinburgh. Land at Glasgow,bus to Edinburgh(there may be a direct bus from the airport)then stay at a Travelodge for your entire holiday. There is a good 3 days sightseeing there!
