Rooney's,on Calle Murillo, is open on Sundays for meals.IMO,best British style grub in the area and not too expensive. Great Sunday lunches too!

Re: were is open

Hi Jo

The Guinness Tavern (open weekends) http://www.salou.co.uk/sponsors/guinnestavern.htm

And Cheers down the old town of Salou http://www.salou.co.uk/Restaurantes/cheers/cheers_website/index.html

Also there are other restaurants in Salou (old town) open all year round:
Llar del Foc, Venus, Toscana, Pa i Oli, Costa Azul, La Morera and many more.

There are only a few pubs open during the winter for a late drink Rio Grande, Double Dutch, The Barrels, Shankly´s as far as I’m aware.

Hope this helps

Re: were is open

Port Aventura is still open and it is also a great time of year to travel around. Tarragona is an excellent day out and Barcelona of course.Try a bus ride to Cambrils port and see the catch being landed around 4-00 pm,take a bus to Vila Seca on a Thursday and wander round the old town and visit the market. Unfortunately,Salou old town isn't very old but Vila Seca has Roman remains. Plenty of tapas bars also! If you have a mind, hire a car and explore the fantastic countryside around the area. If you want to do this, let us know and we can tell you the best places to go to. The weather is still good and the days and evenings pleasant. There is lots to enjoy at this time of year,so go and find it.Enjoy yourself in the way that many ex pat Brits do.Even a simple walk along the Paseo is great!
