there is an on going dispute with service air who do the baggage handling at liverpool airport and there company,they are going to sack 53 employees and then readvertise only 27 jobs for them to apply for,which has left them with no option but to call for industrial action, which has been announced on the liverpool airport web site,it is to start on august the 20th,i would advise any one who is traveling on or around this date to keep watch for further updates my daughter is traveling soon so i will be trying to find out any information regarding this situation which i will pass on to the site .

it has been announced on radio that liverpool airport has a contingency plan to minimise disruption to passengers, what this plan would be i do not know.
