Beautiful baby born with Golden Har

To all children and their families that are struggling with physical challenges and medical needs I send, and invite you to join me, love and hope and comfort, strength, courage and peace.

My cousin Amy and her new family have these things already, seemingly in abundance, and yet my heart goes to them at this time. May their first child, their daughter, born within the last few weeks be a joy to them, and they to her.

Re: Beautiful baby born with Golden Har

Wow, the power of intention and loving kindness is more real to me now. I visited my family in Denver and area this summer for a reunion (this happens approx. every 3 years). Anyway, I finally got a chance to meet my new cousin Elena. She is the baby who was born with Golden Har syndrome. She's thriving and beautiful and so very loved. She has the hope of receiving the best medical care. Her mom is coping really well as is her dad (a homesick Swiss citizen). It was so good to see them. A story I was told about a trip through the airport on the way from Oregon gives a better idea about this. A security checker saw the feeding tube and trachea tube (for breathing) that she needs, and the extra ear appendages on her little face. She started crying and said "At least she can move her arms and legs. My son is immoble." Her son had been born with the same syndrome. Not only can she more her arms and legs, she is VERY present and clear. She has relationships with all those who love her. She is patient and loving and she loves music. Thank you everyone who remembered Elena in your intentions. The struggle continues and I know it cannot be easy, but remember your kindness matters - even at great distances and even without knowing the people involved. Do Maitri and Tonglen for those who suffer. Thanks.
