Hi all, we are going to Salou for the first time in September, we normally avoid Eurozone due to it being very expensive, done Menorca a couple of times and food and drink prices were horendous. Anyways, this will our first holiday for a few years which is not All Inclusive so we would like a few pointers on food and drink costs, we are not talking posh food, may be the occasional chineese but as we will be staying Half Board, mainly daytime snacks, and of course the price of beer, a few pointers on where to go would be helpfull as well, we will be stying at the Calypso. The reason I'm asking is that due to unforseen circumstances things are a little tight so we will have to budget a little, I am hoping to take about £1200 spending money, that's for 2 adults and a child.
Great prices, pub quiz, kids free housey housey,1EURO pool tables and good pub grub.Family orientated.Kitchen open till closing time which is about 3 am.
We have been to salou twice in the past 2 years , any many times before that and have never been able to find 'the hole in the wall'!!! we have heard so many good things about it , but unable to find it lol please help !!!
Hi Amy,
i suggest you look at this website main page, on the left is a list of pubs and clubs, click on the HOLE IN THE WALL, this will take you to their website, click on location and zoom in on map, location is flagged.
We've stayed at Calypso many times and can definitely vouch for Fordies, fabulous baguettes for a nice lunch, last time we were there (2 years ago) the were selling pints of the local beer for 1.50 euro!! The owner is absolutely lovely, really friendly and great with the kids
