How long before Payson is really afflicted with illegal aliens? Who employs these invaders? Who rents to them? Who protects them? Fred |

Private contractors hire them, both golf clubs hire them, restaurants hire them, individuals needing some labor done, shoveling gravel, etc., hire them and most concrete workers are immigrants. They live west of the Baptist church and north and south of Bonita. Some are shacks with no heat or water, the same type housing they left to come here. All of these "hovels" owners are easily identified IF anyone wanted to take a half hour at the County Tax Assessors office. Might be an eye opener to see who they are. Maybe post their names and addresses in the Payson Roundup as the slum lords renting to Illegal Immigrants!! Most, although they are illegal, are not otherwise criminally inclined, however, the keyword here is "illegal". They need to be deported when and where found to make room for "legal" workers waiting to come in. They are marginally educated,if at all so are easily conned and turned into criminals just to live. Many are alcoholics and drug addicts who get arrested for drinking related incidents such DUI's, drunk and disorderly, spousal abuse, public drunkeness, etc. All these incidents take a lot of the time of Payson Police Dept Officers and are basically just a waste of time as nothing gets corrected. A day in jail maybe and back out to do it again. |
