My Zen was christen today
The weather forecast for this morning was 10% chance of rain, about 30 miles into my 50 mile loop it started to rain and then the thunder and lighting. I found a place to hole up until it past. about 10 miles from home down it came again. I'm happy to say my Zen handle very well on the wet roads. I knew that sooner or later I'd get caught out in the rain. On a side note this was the first time the wind driven rain, 15 -20 mph+ drove the rain into my eyes so I could see. I've been out in some very nasty weather and have never had this happen in the 60 yrs I've been riding. Thought I'd share this. |

Scott, I was riding in a race in the 70's when hail and rain pelted us at a 45 degree angle, high winds, 40 MPH plus. We took shelter in the ditch, it passed, and soon a car showed up asking if we wanted a ride. My buddy and I decided the race was over, so we piled in. Soon we came upon the drivers son, who was also in the race, except he was on his bike, intent on finishing. When he saw who was in the car, he turned down his fathers offer for a ride, and won the race...by default I might add! So I did not have to wait 60 years for experience some nasty weather on a bike, glad everything is ok, ride safe! |
