thanks to a pair of reasonable results at Cadwell Park at the weekend, i am delighted to have finished 5th in the ACU Supermono Championship in my 1st year back racing.
My total thanks to Mark Lawes for the loan of his spare bike. He won retained the chamionship ans we finished 1-2 in the air-cooled category too, which was excellent.
visit www.supermononewsletter.co.uk for full details.
Having completed the season i learnt a lot, so if anyone has ANY questions about riding/racing as a amputee (i am left below knee) i wil be happy to share my experiences.
Finally, massive thanks to the prosthetist, John Broomhead, for designing ans constructing such a good prosthesis. I barely noticed it all year. My biggest hassle was making right foot gear changes, particuarly when cranked over. I have worn the right toe out of three sets of boot, so something to look at for 2005!
Scott
