After bursting out of the blocks in the first quarter the Saints looked well on the way to a thumping victory. The never say die Swans turned the momentum around completely in the second term to go into the main break all square. A tight low scoring struggle was the pattern of the second half with the Saints falling in by 2 points. It was another typical Saint/Swans struggle of recent times and really the game could have gone either way. Both sides will again be very competitive this season but no early inroads on the league leaders were apparent.
