Fowey

Greetings one and all,

Have I missed something or is there no OCS group for FOWEY ?
Anyway, I am sure that there is someone out there who can answer my question. I have on my mantelpiece a large loving cup ( two handled mug ). On one side, it says
"King of Prussia Inn, Fowey. 1833" and on the other "Ye merrie loving cup"
I don't know Fowey all that well - I've been there a few times but that's all (I'm from Bude). Is there a King of Prussia Inn and what was significant about 1833? I thought that the King of Prussia was a chap called Carter, a free trader, of Prussia Cove.
Any enlightenment will be gratefully received.
