Timberbush Visitors' Forum

Welcome to our Forum. Feel free to post a message or a question. We welcome your comments and we love to hear your feedback - so do our guides.

At Timberbush we respect our customers but also our competitors. We understand that you want to compare and contrast your tour experiences and that's important. But  we don't believe in "discrediting" our competitors in order to try to win a customer.  That's why, although we would never edit a customer's comments, we may choose to remove messages mentioning other tour operators' names.

We've always  believed that customers are free to make up their own minds and we're confident that our tours will speak for themselves.

So in the spirit of solidarity, we say, "Vive La Difference !"  and,  "Happy Touring!" from all at Timberbush.

You don't have to post only on TIMBERBUSH or our TOURS. It can be about Scotland;  its history or its culture. It can be anything about Scotland.  If we can't answer a question we will find someone who can!

Or maybe it's a discussion or debate you want to start?

Skye and Highlands Tour

I recently took my sister and her daughter on the three day tour to Skye and the Highlands. We were debating about renting a car and exploring ourselves, but after some rather harrowing driving experiences in Ireland involving sheep and goats and our inability to consistently drive on the "correct" side of the road the previous week, the option of an organized tour presented itself as the saner if not safer route.

Being our first time in Scotland, and the trip being of special importance to me because of my interest in my family background, I wanted to find the best tour possible - one that would provide not only the drive-by sights, but the historical perspectives (factual and fictitious) and some real sightseeing - such as getting off the bus and walking to experience the beautiful Scottish landscape and scenery. Timberbush Tours provided all of this and more.

When I say more, I want to specifically compliment our tour guide, Colin. As expressed so many times in other postings, his approach to guiding is unique. So as not to be redundant, I will add that his ability to capture the interest of all people on our tour, regardless of age or country or origin was remarkable. His expertise on his subject matter shows in his ability to discover what each person wants from the tour. Because of this, our tour group became a close knit group of buddies due to discussions amongst each other and I am looking forward to long term communication via email with them all.

And there were plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal to four-legged Scottish animals without fearing for their safety from a rented car. This especially delighted my niece.

Our accomodations in Skye were wonderful. Timberbush went to special trouble getting us what we requested. We would like to express an extra special thanks to Margaret our host at the bed and breakfast.

Kudos to Colin and Timberbush!
